Wow it is funny how one month can fly by! Today Madden is one month old! He is sleeping lots better-- not sure if the ice cream was the cause of the yelling, but I have not had it in a week now - and he has not had any fits. Sleep or ice cream? I guess I can sacrifice for a while:)
Today we went to the zoo. Maymie has been wanting to take Madden so bad. Well we went today. It was very warm and it would have been very hard if Matt was not there.
We had a great day together!!!! Maymie even got to pet a boa!!!
Madden enjoyed it so much he slept through it all!!
Soon he will be telling what animal is next just like Maymie!!

We went to Nana's and Pop Pop's to check out the new pool liner. The pool looks so good and Pop Pop has worked so hard to bring everything together. We enjoyed seeing everyone and celebrating every ones birthday from Jan-May. Sorry Matt we had to do it without you! You did get a plate of Pop Pop's good food! Thanks for having us and we look forward to this summer:)
Marleigh and Maymie did not mind the cold pool. Maymie has been so excited about going to their house to swim!
We went to the Dr Friday morning for Madden's 3 week and 2 day check up. He is doing well. He weighs 8 pounds and 9 oz. & 21 3/4 long. We told Dr. Walters about him yelling at night and he thinks it might be the ice cream I eat before bed! So no more ice cream or chocloate to see if that works. Here at the Guthrie house ice cream is apart of our night-- So I told Matt if I cannot eat in neither can you or Maymie! He did not think that was fair, but I do why should I have to sit and watch them eat my favortie thing! We will see-- that might work as long as I go to the store and do not buy the cream:)
This is from Avery's birthday party. It was a princess dress up party. Like mother like daughter Maymie changed costumes 3 times before she decided on a princess ballerina.
They all had fun running around outside all dressed up!

Madden got a little hungry during the graduation so Matt was left to take pictures and video-- I have to say he did a great job!!! Thanks bud!

Today was Maymie's last day of preschool. It seems like yesterday that it was her first day! We were just a couple of minutes late-- I thought we did pretty good--we started getting ready at 7:00 to be there by 9:30. Madden and I were up and as I was getting him dressed I was standing in front of his closet thinking ok HE is wearing blue so HE will need a blue bow-- wait a minute HE DOES NOT NEED A BOW! -- getting a boy and girl dressed is very different. I did not even have to worry about changing out fits would match the bow in his hair.

First thing when we got to school they celebrated Avery's 4 birthday with a huge doughnut.
They had outside day-- which means everyone brought their favorite riding toy and they played outside all morning! Well if you know Maymie then you know that is just what she wants to do all the time. We ate lunch outside and had blast. Madden enjoyed himself so much he slept through it all! I hope he sleeps that well tonight:)
Then we stopped by Granddaddy Bills /Grammy& Grandpa's house to say hello. To Maymie's great surprise Grady was there so her day was getting better and better:) It does not take much to entertain them. They played with a box in an empty room pretty much the whole time. They did discovered the creek- where they fished (played with sticks and got dirty).
So after all that fun we had go to Wally world for some diapers-- Maymie wanted to look pretty with some lips on so she did just that! After she used almost all the tube she said look I look I have red lips just like Nana!
When we got home Popa was waiting to say hello.
So lets just say our first day out was a BIG one-- All I know is that if all of days are filled with that much fun then I am going to need extra hours in the day for some sleep!
Sleep is a funny thing. You cannot bottle it up and save it (great idea Mark- sure would be nice) and you do not know how much you miss it until you do not get it. Madden likes the late night and early morning to sing beautiful hymns. Last night we had a great nights rest and I am SO thankful- four hours of sleep each night does not go very far over a week.

The Goal: To pack and ship 6000 backpacks filled with personal items such as phone cards, encouraging notes, small toys etc to the members of the 506th Brigade Combat Team home based from Ft Campbell, KY. in time for them to receive them before Father's Day.
The Deadline: Everything needs to be collected by May 21st in order to be packed and shipped in time to arrive by June 15th.
The Need: HELP!!! We need donations, we need letters of support and cards of encouragement. We need people to pack and assemble the bags. We need businesses, churches, schools, day cares and clubs to help sponsor the shipping and provide the donations. We also need additional locations to become drop off points for donations to assist those who can't get to Madison to donate.
