Happy 7 months Madden!!!

Happy 7 months buddy!!!

Madden has learned lots of tricks over the past 2 months!
He loves being on his tummy. He spins around and rolls to wherever he wants to go. I love when he wakes up he tries to look over the top of the bed like a seal for whomever is coming in the room-- most of the time it is Maymie:) He has found some words he loves to say Dad Dad the most!!! He has said momma -- really he dose not know what he is saying, but it sounds so sweet to hear him jabber. Maymie still has lots of fun with him, we will see if she still loves to play with him when he takes her toys:)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Have a thankful day!!!

So many things to be thankful for....

My little turkeys!!!

We all have things to be thankful for in our life. Sometimes I forget how blessed I am. Family is at the top of my list. I prayed for a husband that would be a strong Christian, a great Dad, and my best friend. I think God got that one just right!!! Thanks Matt for being the person that you are everyday!!!! I am so blessed to have him in my live!!! Maymie and Madden are just sweet blessings!!! I am SO thankful for these two little smiles plus one dogie grin:)!!!! Also for Leigh! There is just something about a sister! We can talk for hours then see each other and then when it is time to leave call each other on the way home! I am not sure if Maymie and Madden will have that relationship, but I am sure that Marleigh and Maymie will!!! I am so thankful that she has a husband with two beautiful children!!! I love Mark, Marleigh, and Mason so much!!!! I cannot wait to be neighbors---:) OK that is my Christmas wish:) I am thankful for Dad and Mom. I am also thankful for T and Billy Ray!! Parents are so great and to have 4 is even better!!! Well I guess I have 6 counting Kathy and Johnny-- wow God has blessed me with such good leaders!!! Each parent blesses our life daily with the little things that they do for our family! I am so thankful for the Grandparents that Matt and I have. I think it is great that Nanny gets to be with the kids and they love her just as much as I do!!! If I am not on the phone with Leigh there is a good chance that I am on it with Nanny! I am thankful for Cole (aka Bubba) and Jake and Courtney and my two cute nephews! Aunts and Uncles and Cousins are blessing also!! I am thankful for friends-- old and new I have so many people in my life that are such blessings!!! Some I have know me forever and some for just a couple of years-- now our children are growing up together and I cannot think of any better friends for my kids!!! For my Girls at school-- I am blessed with not only one little girl, but about 30 wonderful teenagers:) Also very thankful that the Gerber's are here to spend thanksgiving with us! Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks!! So thanks to all the people that I am thankful for!!!

THE MAYONNAISE JAR AND 2 BEERS

Playing in the leaves!!

Madden was not so sure about the cool air!!

This is cute thanks Lynn for sending it to me!
THE MAYONNAISE JAR AND 2 BEERS

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 Beers.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things---your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only
they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.

The sand is everything else---the small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stu ff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

'Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house
and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf ball first---the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, 'I'm glad you asked.' The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.'

It is OK buddy!!!

OK I am done:)

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Audrey Hepburn:
“For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and remembered; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.”
