Easter Party

Maymie had her Easter party today and she was SO EXCITED to have her Daddy at school with her! It reminded me of when Dad would come to eat lunch with me at school. Matt was a good sport and dressed up as the Bunny. Most of the kids loved seeing him and gave him lots of love- some did not want to get close to him. In Maymie's class he was "Maymie's Daddy Easter Bunny". When he walked in the door Maymie jumps up and yells Mommy- Daddy and almost knocks him over with a hug. Everyone warmed up to him, but after Matt changed into his other clothes one little girl said I like you better out of the bunny costume! Enjoy the show!

Say a prayer

I know I have asked before for prayers for Ginger's Dad and her family. Her Family needs those prayers now, he is not doing well and his time here is getting short. Please remember her mom, grandparents, Kelly, Ginger Adam and Austin. They are great family and I love them so much!

Will

This is from Will's website... He was a great guy. He always had a smile on his face- he will be missed by many people.

Dr. James William McPherson, III (“Will”), 29, beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, died after a courageous and inspiring battle with a brain tumor. His untimely passing leaves a tragic void in this world.

Born on June 5, 1978, Will grew up in Old Hickory and was an honor student athlete at Ezell-Harding Christian School, where he graduated in 1996. After high school, Will attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Halfway through his senior year, Will’s brain tumor was diagnosed. After graduating, Will attended the University of Tennessee at Memphis Dental School. Upon graduation, he began practicing dentistry with his sister.

Will is preceded in death by his father, Dr. James William McPherson, Jr. Will is survived by his wife, Shelby; his parents, Melanee and Jim Bryan; his sisters and their husbands, Cristin Wallace (Brody) and Jennifer Adams (Bo); his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Steve and Sue McCollum; brother-in-law, Sam McCollum; maternal grandparents, Ellen and Chet Slate; five nieces and two nephews; and countless people lucky enough to call Will friend.

The family gives thanks to all of the wonderful people who have supported them, and especially Will, during this difficult time. The family’s saying throughout this battle has been “Where there’s a Will, there’s a way.” The family would also like to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses who treated Will. The family suggests that those wishing to make memorials please make them to the American Brain Tumor Foundation or CaringBridge.org.

Visitation & Funeral Arrangements:
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 11th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Woodmont Hills Family of God on Franklin Road in Nashville, Tennessee. Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12th at Woodmont Hills as well.

So nice..

Maymie loves the zoo and all she has been talking about is when it gets warmer we are going to the zoo. She can tell what is next and we know some the animals real names. Sunday was going to be so nice I told her that we would go the zoo. She was so excited. She had a hard time with Sunday school because of a teacher change, but by the time it was over she had told them that we were going to the zoo after lunch with Daddy. I called Leigh to see if she was ready and she need a little extra time, so I told Maymie that we were going to go home for a little bit then go with Leigh and Marleigh. She says no mommy that is not a good idea-- I got a idea let go now. She finally agree and even took a little nap on the way home. Leigh and Marleigh came and we were on on way. Maymie is almost all the time a great sport about everything- but not this day. She went from wanting Marleigh to do everything that she is doing to --- she is looking at me, she is touching my straw, her feet are dirty.-- At that point I knew something was wrong. Leigh and I got to laughing cause all we could see was us when we where little. Maymie did not bother Marleigh she was loving the wagon! If I had a dollar for every jaw that dropped when people saw the girls in the wagon and then me pregnant pulling it I would be rich! After everything was over we got home-- VERY tried Maymie had a fever. She is doing better- and wants to go back to the zoo when she feels better!

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Audrey Hepburn:
“For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and remembered; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.”
