This week at church it was VBS. Last year Maymie enjoyed VBS all but wearing the t-shirt. This years t-shirt is blue. She put it on with no trouble, but when we got in the car to leave she said can I please take this off! She is SO FUNNY about her clothes! Oh the drama to come!

The last night they had an ice cream party. Here is everyone having a blast.

We went swimming at Nana's and Maymie learned how to swim under water!!! I asked her to try to go under and swim she looked at me crazy-- I said try it once and if you do not like it then you do not have to do it again. She tried it and LOVED it!!! I am so proud of her!!! My little fish!

Baby Camels

Leigh has been talking about the baby Camels at the zoo for over a week. So Saturday we battled the sun and went to see the camels. It was a HOT day. I was a little concerned where the camels would be at the zoo. We do not go into the petting zoo part ( yes I know I am a germ freak) and you guessed it that is where the camels were. I stay with the boys -- stressing out watching Maymie loving on the goat -- I think she would have gotten on his back if it would have let her. I will say that she was very excited. All I could think about was getting her hands washed! Mark was impressed with all the people comments about the kids. I promise everywhere we go people act like we have 20 kids and they always all mine! I told Mark that I feel like I wear a freak show sign on my head.

Marleigh in her favorite seat!

Mason chilling out!!

That is a big Baby!!

Another one.

Wish I could get to that one!

Friday Rocks!!

Friday is the best day of the week!!
It is Matt's day off and Maymie LOVES it!
She loves being with daddy!!
Most mornings the first thing out of her mouth is is Daddy here?
So Friday is great cause Daddy is there and she gets all excited:)

We were gone most all day. We were on our way to run some errands before my camp and in the road were at least 25 turkey! Matt reluctantly got out to take the picture. Some were scared and to flight! Maymie thought it was so cool!!! They were cute!!

Why did the turkey cross the road?
To get to the other side!!

The big Daddies were not wanting to cross the road!
I think they were trying to get way from the women!!

Then on our way to dinner a nice animal lover stop to let a turtle cross the road!!
Sorry no picture of him:)

Sorry I cut some of Madden off, but his smile was so cute not to share!!
Maymie was tickling his ear!!!

Sweet Boy!!!

Martin's BBQ

We had a great morning with Grammy and Grandpa!
Thanks for waking up early and for playing with us:)
Maymie said we will take you to Cracker Barrel later:)

So one of Matt's favorite places to eat in Nolensville is Martin's BBQ. When he thinks it might be a sandwich or nugget night for supper he always says hey you want to go to Martins? We love to sit outside- it was a little hot tonight, but the food is good and we had good company David and Grayson ate with us! Maymie and Madden matched and I wanted to get a picture of all of us. Good thing for timers! If you have been to Martin's stop in for a good turkey sandwich!!!:)

What calms your child?

What calms your child?
You would think that a sweet lullaby would calm them down right?
Well not my sweet little boy he loves Ludacris- Shake your Money Maker!
If you do not know what that song is no worries- you have not missed anything- it is a rap song:) No worries I have the clean version!
My guess is that he enjoyed that during warms ups at the games?
He is screaming is lungs out-- turn on Ludacris and he is out!
So if you drive by our house and see our family dancing around our den chances are we are shaking our money maker:)
It is like that friends where Rachel & Ross sing I like big butts!

I almost put the song on my play list- but I thought some might think I was weird-- well if you know me then you know that I am!

"The Law of the Garbage Truck"

Aunt Billie sent this cute story.
This is one of my Dads favorite things to do!

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy; and I mean, he was really friendly. So I asked, "Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!" This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, "The Law of the Garbage Truck." He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes
they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so...
"Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't."
Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

So make a BIG smile everyday!

Holding his head up...

Madden is growing so fast and looking more and more like his Daddy everyday!!!
Do not get me wrong-- Matt makes very cute babies, but it would be nice for them to look like me a little-- Maybe a 3rd child might look like me??

He is holding his head up and enjoys tummy time!
Yea thats a Daddy look!

Maymie was playing in her room, but those little ears hear everything!
She wanted in on the fun!
Those cute cheeks!

Big smiles for you!!

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Audrey Hepburn:
“For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and remembered; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.”
